Watford defender Craig Dawson is keen on leaving the club before the summer transfer window in England closes next week, according to The Guardian. It has been reported that the Hornets value the central defender at £4 million, and that Premier League outfit West Ham United are looking at him as a possible option should they fail to sign Joe Rodon.
West Ham manager David Moyes is on the hunt for a new central defender and has identified Wales international centre-back Rodon as his number one transfer target, according to the report. However, Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Swansea City star and are favourites for the 22-year-old.
According to WhoScored, Dawson made 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Watford last season, scoring two goals in the process. The 30-year-old joined the Hornets from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2019.
