Crawley aiming for more Cup glory

Crawley Town captain Pablo Mills is going to Old Trafford intent on beating Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday.

“We are not going up to Manchester Utd to make up the numbers, we’re trying to win a game. Nothing is ever impossible,” Mills said.

The former Rotherham skipper and Derby County youth player said he believed Crawley should prepare in the same way for this game on the massive stage as for any other match.

“I am trying to keep myself and the lads relaxed,” Mills said.

“It’s only one game but I know it’s a big occasion. We’ve got to try to keep focussed on the job ahead. Our sole aim is to gain promotion out of this league, so the FA Cup’s a bonus.”

“We have been preparing exactly the same as in the Conference.”

“Whoever we are up against I would never change my approach. It’s been nice and normal. The only difference is the cameras.”

“Obviously we’re not going to kid ourselves. It’s going take a massive job from us and we’re going to need a lot of luck as well.”

“But you never know what can happen in football and nothing is impossible.”

Midfielder Sergio Torres said he cannot wait for the kick-off.

“It’s unbelievable, it’s a great feeling. The best feeling I’ve had in football,” Torres said.

“It’s great to be here, I can’t believe in two days time we’re going to be playing on this pitch. Everyone is very excited and I’m very excited. I just can’t wait.”

Torres said he had no idea what the result might be.

“We believe in ourselves and, of course, we’ll see on the pitch. In 1000 times of playing them they are going to beat us 998 times so we’re going to do our best.”
