Inter forward Hernan Crespo could be in line for a move to Scottish giants Celtic, according to reports in Italian media.
Crespo is prepared to leave Inter due to the lack of opportunities he gets at the club. It is believed the Argentine forward is not a part of coach Jose Mourinho’s plans for the future at the club.
The former Chelsea striker face competition from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Adriano, Julio Cruz, Ricardo Quaresma and Mario Balotelli for the places up front at Inter.
“People are asking me why I’m not playing and I’m asking the same thing,†Crespo said.
“But the choice lies with the Coach and that has to be respected. However, I still want to play at the 2010 World Cup, so we will have to see what happens in January.â€Â
Crespo turned down moves to Sampdoria and Palermo this summer, but it is believed Celtic will consider making a move for the 33-year-old in January.
