Dundee manager Gordon Chisholm and his assistant Billy Dodds have been made redundant after the Scottish First Division club were forced into administration.

Chisholm and Dodds left Dens Park on Friday after being told the news by administrator Bryan Jackson, who was appointed on Thursday when the club admitted defeat in their attempts to pay a tax bill of 365,000 pounds (586,000 dollars).

It is believed that 10 players will also be made redundant, including defender Eric Paton and striker Colin McMenamin.

Paton said: “I think 10 of the boys have been told they can go. We were just told we were off the wage bill.

“Seemingly the tax bill is higher than has been reported so they have made drastic cuts.

“Unfortunately, it’s people like myself and Colin McMenamin who have been cut.”
