Vicenza defender Cristian Zaccardo could be moving to the United States this winter, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The former AC Milan defender is currently plying his trade with Serie B side Vicenza, but everything suggests he will be leaving in January.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that FC Miami head coach Alessandro Nesta has offered Zaccardo an opportunity to join him in the United States, and there is a good chance the 34-year-old will accept the offer.
The duo were in the Italy squad that lifted the 2006 World Cup title and they could now be reunited at FC Miami.
Cristian Zaccardo left Carpi last summer when the club were relegated from Serie A and joined Vicenza, and he has since made seven Serie B appearances.
If he decides to join Miami FC, the Italian will not be the only high-profile player in the side, as other star footballers include Wilson Palacios, Matuzalem and Dario Cvitanich.
