There is little debate about Cristiano Ronaldo being amongst the greatest players of all time, but this season he has proved that he is indeed human by slowing down his remarkable rate of goals in La Liga, which has coincided with a period of difficulty for Spanish super club Real Madrid.
The legendary Portuguese star is said to be growing increasingly unhappy in the Spanish capital, and the club’s hierarchy are unwilling to increase his salary with a new contract given his age.
With that in mind, Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has contacted Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea to offer them the winger’s services, according to the Metro.
At 33-years of age, a move to the Premier League at the end of this season could represent his final challenge, even with his supreme level of fitness, and it would be incredibly intriguing to see how he would get on if he did indeed return to England.
