Former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo will join Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr on a free in the January transfer window, according to Marca. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that the Portugal International will sign a contract that could be worth €200million (£173m) per season.
Ronaldo is a free agent at the moment after his contract at Manchester United was terminated by mutual consent. This followed an explosive interview from the former Juventus and Real Madrid star in which he criticised United head coach Erik ten Hag as well as the club’s owners.
Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time, and it is interesting that he is heading to Saudi Arabia. It would have made sense for the Portuguese superstar to stay in Europe at least for the rest of the season, as he is still good enough.
