Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Croatia and Spain to draw
Odds: 21/10 @ Bet 365
Croatia lock horns with defending champions Spain at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux in tonight’s Euro 2016 Group D clash which could be a tight game given both sides have an agenda. The two sides are all but through to the knockouts but both need to avoid defeat to ensure of their top-two placings. A draw looks on the cards as a result.
Croatia are currently second in Group D with four points from their two games, having beaten Turkey but drew to the Czech Republic. Two points behind leaders Spain, a win tonight would see them leapfrog La Roja in the table and go through as group winners.
However, they are likely to play out a stalemate to ensure they finish second, with Czech Republic still able to catch them if they lose. As for Spain, the holders are top of Group D, and know they will progress into the last-16 if they can avoid defeat to the current runners-up.
Manager Vicente Del Bosque is likely to rest players for tonight’s clash, which could lead to a more even game without real quality. Spain need to not lose against the second-placed side this evening to keep their place at the summit. As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 21/10 for the two sides to playout a stalemate.
