Croatia captain on Valencia radar

Superdeporte is reporting that Valencia are considering a move for Shakhtar Donetsk full-back Darijo Srna.

Los Che could see both Joao Pereira and Antonio Barragan leave this summer, meaning they need to sign a new right-back.

According to Superdeporte, Valencia seem to be hot on the trail of Shakhtar Donetsk captain Darijo Srna.

The Croatian defender has so far resisted temptation to join some of Europe’s top clubs, but it is believed the current crisis in Ukraine could see him change his mind.

Darijo Srna has spent last eleven years with the Miners having joined from Hajduk Split back in 2003, making a total of 266 league appearances and scoring 26 goals.

At the same time he has earned no less than 115 Croatia caps and is currently leading his national team at the 2014 World Cup, where Vatreni are 6/4 to defeat Mexico and make it to the next stage.
