Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Monday wished good luck to the national football team before they left for Euro 2008, the Hina news agency reported.
“I am here to wish you good luck on your way to Euro, where I am sure, you will play fearlessly,” Sanader said at a reception for the players.
Team captain, Niko Kovac, gave Sanader a Croatian football shirt signed by all the team members.
The squad will leave on Tuesday for the Austrian town of Graz, from where they will be taken to their base in Bad Tatzmannsdorf.
At the European championships, jointly hosted by Austria and Switzerland from June 7-29, Croatia face Germany, Austria and Poland in Group B.
