Croatian starlet confirms Barcelona switch
Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Alen Halilovic has confirmed reports he will be joining Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The Croatian club earlier suggested they were in talks with Barca over the talented footballer, and AS has revealed that the Catalans have had a bid in the region of €10 million accepted by Dinamo.
Halilovic himself has moved to confirm an agreement has been reached, saying goodbye to the club and fans.
“Thanks for everything Dinamo Zagreb!!My first love and biggest love!!Now is time to move on to Barcelona,” Halilovic wrote on his Instagram account.
The 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of world’s most talented footballers and he was also followed by Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Despite his fragile age, Halilovic has already scored 4 goals in 33 league appearances, while earning 3 Croatia caps.
Ivica Olic nears Stoke move
German daily Bild understands that Wolfsburg striker Ivica Olic is ready to join Stoke City at the end of the current campaign.
The 34-year-old will be out of contract in the summer and despite having been offered a new deal at Volkswagen Arena, the Croatia international looks ready to quit the Wolves.
Olic reportedly wants to test his skills in English Premier League and is set to accept an offer from Stoke City.
The Potters have tabled a lucrative two-year deal a couple of weeks back and the latest reports suggest they have managed to win the race for the player’s signature.
Ivica Olic has spent last eight years in German Bundesliga, playing for Hamburg, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.
He has been in fine form this season, netting 8 times in 21 league outings, while scoring 1 goal in 7 World Cup qualifiers for Croatia.
Braga youngster in high demand
Eurosport is reporting that Sporting Braga midfielder Rafa Silva has a long list of suitors among top European clubs.
The 20-year-old only joined the club last summer from second division side Feirense, but he has enjoyed a bright start to his career at Estadio AXA.
Silva made a total of 25 appearances for Braga this season, scoring no less than 8 goals, catching the eye of clubs from Spain, England, France and Turkey in the process.
According to Eurosport, Ligue 1 sides Rennes and Lens are believed to be leading the chase, but his current employers are not prepared to sell.
The attacking midfielder has a contract until June 2017 at Estadio AXA and a €20 million release clause inserted in his deal.
Having slipped to seventh in the Primeira Liga standings, Braga face title contenders Sporting Lisbon away on Saturday and they are 11/4 to produce and upset and win the game.
