Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is looking forward to return to Anfield as a Portsmouth player on Wednesday.
Crouch also admitted that he would like Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season.
“I’m really looking forward to going back. I’ve got such fond memories of the place,” he told Sky Sports News.
“I don’t think you realise how big a club it is until you’ve played for them. I had three seasons there and I look back on it as probably the best time of my career. I loved every minute of it there.
“I’ve still got a lot of friends at the club still and I’m really looking forward to going back.
“They are sitting top of the league. Nothing would give me greater satisfaction than to win, but for them to win the league.”
