(GSM) – Cruzeiro earned a 1-1 draw with Colo on Thursday to finish second in Copa Libertadores Group 7, and they earned a berth in the last 16 of the competition.
The match was scoreless through 57 minutes in Chile before Thiago Ribeiro’s shot past Francisco Prieto put Cruzeiro in front, 1-0.
The Chileans, however, equalized just four minutes later on Rodrigo Millar’s strike.
Colo Colo finished down a man when Andrés Scotti was sent off with 10 minutes to play, but Cruzeiro could not get the extra points.
Cruzeiro’s 11 points ensure they will finish among the top six of the eight group runners-up, securing their berth in the knockout round.
