Competition: Premier League
Market: Crystal to stay up in 2014/15
Odds: 1/3 @ William Hill
Crystal Palace’s incredible maiden season in the Premier League has been well-documented. Under manager Tony Pulis, the Eagles finished the campaign in 11th place, with 45 points. But Pulis has frequently said he’s no miracle worker and will need investment in the summer if the club wish to remain in the Premier League another season.
With co-owner Steve Parish set to provide enough funds to bolster the team this summer, William Hill are giving odds of 1/3 for Palace to avoid relegation again next season. It certainly won’t be easier with the newly promotion sides boasting strong squads that will get stronger after the transfer window.
But Pulis worked wonders with the team on a tiny budget, and the club are indebted to him for keeping them up when they looked doomed to relegation upon his appointment. They won’t spent outside of their means, but will provide enough resources to bring in targets both Pulis & Parish have lined up.
Bet: Crystal Palace to stay up in the Premier League in the 2014/15 season @ 1/3 with William Hill >>
