Crystal Palace are about to complete the signing of Adam Wharton, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Premier League club Palace have agreed a deal with Championship side Blackburn Rovers for Wharton.
Palace made an initial bid of £18.5 million for Wharton, but Blackburn turned it down. The Eagles then decided to increase their offer to £22 million, and Rovers have now decided to accept it. The 19-year-old midfielder have been given permission to travel for a medical.
Wharton has made 22 starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Blackburn so far this season. The midfielder has scored two goals and provided three assists in those games. The teenager made 12 starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.
