Crystal Palace fail to land Oumar Niasse

Premier League side Crystal Palace did not have the best of starts to the new campaign and were expected to make several moves during the Transfer Deadline Day to boost their squad.

The Eagles managed to secure a permanent deal for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho just before the window closed but, on the other side, they failed to land another top target as £7 million deal for Everton striker Oumar Niasse fell through over agent fee, according to the reports from the British press.

Niasse spent last season on loan at Hull where he largely impressed and was expected to be added to the Palace frontline to improve their toothless attack.

The player even travelled to central London to discuss personal terms with the club but a deal eventually fell through as the player’s agent fee could not be agreed upon on time resulting in paperwork missing the deadline.

A frustrating piece of business from Crystal Palace that could return to bite them in the back eventually.

Crystal Palace are sitting in 19th with no points after three Premier League rounds.
