Crystal Palace have made a £16m approach for Arsenal defender Calum Chambers, according to the Telegraph.
The former Southampton man is one of a number of Arsene Wenger’s squad likely to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer with Wojciech Szczesny linked with a move to Juventus and Olivier Giroud wanted by a number of clubs.
Chambers spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, racking up twenty-six appearances in all competitions and scoring his one and only goals for the club in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool back in April.
However, his efforts were in vain as he was unable to help the North East side secure their Premier League status before he returned to his parent club.
In total he has played fifty-nine times for the Gunners, scoring three times while internationally he has three senior caps for England but hasn’t featured for them in almost three years, though he was part of the U21’s squad that competed at last month’s European Championships.
