Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are set to reignite their interest in Sporting CP striker Islam Slimani.
The Eagles reportedly had a €15 million bid rejected for the Algerian in the winter, but they have not given up hope of luring the player to Selhurst Park.
Record has learned that Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew visited Estadio Jose Alvalade to make a check on his target as Sporting CP faced Bayer Leverkusen in Europa League clash last Thursday.
This is enough to suggest that the Eagles are keen on bringing the Algeria hotshot to England in the summer transfer window, which is hardly surprising given their shortage of quality strikers.
Islam Slimani, 27, is enjoying the most successful season in his career, having bagged 18 goals in 23 league outings for Sporting CP, while netting four times in two 2018 World Cup qualifiers for Algeria.
The Lions reportedly want around €30 million for his services, but they will probably be forced to lower the asking price.
