Despite their recent resurgence under new manager Roy Hodgson, Crystal Palace remain amongst the lowest scoring teams in the Premier League, and it is little surprise that they are in the market for a new striker.
Khouma Babacar is the man they want, according to the Guardian, and it will take a reported £15m bid to prise the young forward away from current club Fiorentina. The Senegalese man has scored four times in 15 Serie A appearances this season, and at just 24-years of age he has a lot of room for growth.
Crystal palace meanwhile have scored just 21 times in 23 games during this campaign, and they have been crippled by a number of key injuries during this season. Both Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha have missed time, and a number of the Eagles defenders are currently out of action.
The addition of Babacar would at least give them an extra option up top, and they can continue their rise up the table.
