Crystal Palace are unlikely to sell Adam Wharton in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has noted that Arsenal and Manchester City are keen on a deal for Wharton in the middle of the season, but Premier League rivals Palace are unlikely to entertain any offers for him.
Palace are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season and do not want to lose Wharton. The midfielder is injured at the moment, but when fit and available, he is expected to play a big role in the Eagles’ quest to avoid the dreaded drop from the Premier League.
Wharton has been on the books of Palace since January 2024 when he moved from Blackburn Rovers. The 20-year-old midfielder played eight times in the Premier League and twice in the Carabao Cup for the Eagles this season before his injury. The England international midfielder gave three assists in 15 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Eagles last season.
