Crystal Palace to loan out Connor Wickham

Is there a club in Premier League that has been unluckier with their forward players? In terms of pure goalscoring, there have been a lot of players who were expected to do very well once they arrived at Selhurst Park. Now, players like Christian Benteke are struggling to find goals and one of those players was also Connor Wickham. It is not a big surprise that he could now be leaving the London-based club.

Now, according the Daily Mail, Wickham is close to joining Sheffield Wednesday on loan this month. The 26-year-old has been limited to just four Premier League appearances this season and has fallen even further down the pecking order now that the Turkey international Cenk Tosun has arrived.

Wickham will try to get to his best form in the Championship again by spending the rest of the season at Wednesday, though it was reported that Nottingham Forest and Bristol City were interested.
