Crystal Palace are set to sign Chris Richards from Bayern Munch in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Premier League club Palace have agreed to pay German and European giants Bayern £8.5 million in transfer fees to secure the services of the 22-year-old defender.
Richards has been on the books of Bayern since 2019 following a loan spell from Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. The 22-year-old central defender has made only a handful of appearances for the Bavarian club’s first team and has had loan loan spells at Hoffenheim in recent years.
Palace are an established club in the Premier League and could be aiming to finish in the top eight of the league table next season. As for Bayern, they will be determined to win the Bundesliga again as well clinch the UEFA Champions League.
