What a start to the season it has been for Crystal Palace! Roy Hodgson’s team is going into the second international break of the season sitting pretty in sixth place in the Premier League standings, after eight matches played. That certainly did not look realistic day before the season started, when Wilfried Zaha was made to stay at Selhurst Park for another season.
But now he might get some company once again. According to Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are hoping to bring Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi back to the club. They would like to do so as soon as possible, which would mean to do it during the January transfer window. The striker scored six goals while on loan at Palace last season and the Eagles are keen to see him at Selhurst Park once again.
The Belgian is not playing at Chelsea, as he is behind Tammy Abraham, but Frank Lampard is likely to only allow one of him or Olivier Giroud to depart the club in search of more playing time.
