Competition: Premier League
Market: Alan Pardew to be LMA Manager of the Year
Odds: 4/1 @ Betfair
Crystal Palace recently won 2-1 at home to Manchester City, which saw the Eagles go three points adrift of a top-half finish. Manager Alan Pardew has been lauded for his work with the club to turn them around. Palace looked down and out of the Premier League earlier in the season, but are now on course to finish above the likes of West Ham, Stoke City and Everton if they can continue their form in the division.
Pardew finds his name being mentioned among the favourites to be named LMA Manager of the Year as result of the Eagles’ fantastic season, with Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho the favourite, as he‘s on course to win a Premier League and Capital One Cup double.
There is more competition from AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, with the Cherries top of the Championship with five games to go. Should Burnley avoid relegation from the Premier League, manager Sean Dyche could well win the award.
But Betfair are giving odds of 4/1 for Alan Pardew to win what would be his second LMA Manager of the Year award in three years, following his 2011/12 award from his time with former club Newcastle.
