Russian side CSKA Moscow are through to the next round of the UEFA Cup after winning their third consecutive match in the tournament’s group phase.

After convincing wins over Deportivo la Coruña and Feyenoord Rotterdam, CSKA were now too strong for Lech Poznan in Poland.

Dzagoev put the Russians ahead in the 31st minute and Zhirkov doubled the advantage just before the interval. Stilic did something back for the Poles on 66 minutes but CSKA held on to their lead to earn another three points.

In today’s other Group H clash, Deportivo host Feyenoord in Spain. Both sides could really use a win if they want to have a chance of advancing to the next round.
