(GSM) – CSKA Moskva are three points closer to the top of the Russian Premier League following Sunday’s 4-0 win over newly promoted Anzhi Makhachkala.
Following Zenit St. Petersburg’s draw with Dinamo Moskva on Saturday, CSKA needed a win to reduce the gap to seven points.
Sekou Oliseh scored the opening goal on 12 minutes and Brazilian Vagner Love made it 2-0 eight minutes later, allowing CSKA some more breathing space.
Zoran Tosic then netted for 3-0 in the 35th minute and Oliseh got his second of the day eight minutes later. 4-0 would be both the half time and full time score.
Rubin Kazan dropped from second to third place following a 1-1 draw at Terek Grozny. The home side went ahead through Hector Brahamonte in the first half but a converted penalty from Christian Noboa limited Rubin’s damage in the second.
