Russian newspaper Izvestia understands that CSKA Moscow are in a pole position to sign Croatian starlet Andrej Kramaric.
The talented forward has been impressing at Lokomotiva Zagreb this season and he has seen some of Europe’s top clubs cast admiring glances his way.
Kramaric is almost certainly set to leave his current employers for a big European club in the summer and Izvestia seems to believe CSKA Moscow are leading the race.
The Russian giants could not agree on the transfer fee in the January transfer window, but they are now ready to meet the €3 million asking price.
Kramaric’s agent has confirmed the interest from CSKA, while revealing his client wouldn’t mind moving to the Russian Premier League.
“We have a number of offer from European clubs, including from Russia, for example, CSKA,” agent Amir Ruznic told Izvestia. “Andrej himself is not against moving to the Russian championship.”
Andrej Kramaric is one of the brightest talents to have come out through Dinamo Zagreb’s youth academy in recent years, but it was at Lokomotiva Zagreb that he made a name for himself, scoring 19 goals in 38 league matches.
