CSKA Moscow have loaned their Brazilian forward Vagner Love to Palmeiras until July 2010, local media reported Friday.

CSKA press spokesman Sergei Aksenov confirmed the loan, saying that family problems had forced the Brazilian striker to accept the Palmeiras offer.

“Urgent family problems demanded his presence at home in Brazil,” Aksenov said.

“We reached an agreement with the Brazilian club that Vagner would play with them until July 31, 2010.”

The spokesman added that Vagner rejected several lucrative offers from European clubs and recently extended his contract with CSKA for another two and a half years.

Vagner played 118 matches with CSKA since 2004 and scored 95 goals for the Red Army side. Last year he was the top scorer in the Russian league with 20 goals.

The 25-year-old forward won two Russian titles, four Russian Cups and UEFA Cup in 2005 during his career in CSKA.
