CSKA Moscow president Yevgeny Giner has revealed that Brazilian striker Vagner Love will be allowed to leave in January.

The 27-year-old has risen to prominence while playing for CSKA, but he will be allowed to leave after spending last eight years in Moscow.

“We’re chasing a forward who seems to be very promising. I don’t think this should have a direct connection to Vagner – we need four forwards in the squad anyway,” Giner told Sport Express.

“But we really intend to let Vagner go – after eight years spent in one place abroad you really need to change team.

“The negotiations will begin in November, when we’ll understand what players are leaving, what we need to change and which problems we need to solve in the near future.”
