(GSM) – Deportivo Cuenca’s hopes of advancing in the Copa Libertadores came to an end on Wednesday as the Ecuadoreans were held to a 0-0 draw by Nacional of Uruguay.

The home side pressed forward in hopes of keeping their Round of 16 dreams alive, but a stout Nacional defense and great play from goalkeeper Rodrigo Múñoz kept them off the scoresheet.

The result leaves Cuenca bottom of Group 6 with just one more group match left to play.

Nacional, meanwhile, are atop the group by a point over Banfield, but their chances to qualify could be slim if they fail to finish first.
