Cutrone agrees to Fiorentina switch

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone has changed his mind and will now be leaving the club during the January transfer window.

He has agreed to a move that will see him join Italian side Fiorentina, which comes just a matter of days after talks broke down with Cutrone returning to training with the Wolves first team squad. Last night, though, talks got back underway with a loan deal being agreed prior to a potential permanent move.

Cutrone has rarely featured in the starting XI this season at Molineux with the likes of Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota and Adama Traore all keeping him out of the side on a week to week basis.

On the rare occasion that the Italian was seemingly being positioned to start, Nuno Espirito Santo did not feature him in the squad – indicating, perhaps, that he wasn’t really planning on keeping Cutrone on the books.
