Sky Sports is reporting that Wolves forward Patrick Cutrone looks set to join Valencia on loan for the rest of the season.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been quite vague when it comes to discussing Cutrone’s future up to this point, but when asked about him during Friday’s press conference, he had the following to say.
“We have to wait. The intention about recalling Patrick was mainly because we needed (him), and because he was not in a good position in Florence.
“So we decided to call him back, and now I count on him, his work and his training, but anything can happen. So let’s wait and see.”
While he may have Cutrone as back-up, the fact that Wolves signed Willian Jose seems to suggest that Cutrone’s services are no longer required. With Fabio Silva being fit and Raul Jimenez potentially coming back before the end of the campaign, the options are limited for the Italian.
