According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers are aiming to end Patrick Cutrone’s loan spell at Fiorentina.
This is set to happen during the January transfer window, and yet despite the issues Wolves are having on the injury front, Cutrone will not be introduced back into the first team squad. Instead, with Fiorentina looking to terminate his deal, Wolves will either send him back out on loan or – more likely – aim to sell him on a permanent deal.
Wolves are actually on the hunt for a new forward during the current window as a result of Raul Jimenez’s season-ending fractured skull injury, but they don’t appear to value Cutrone as someone who can do a job for the Midlanders.
That’s a risky decision to take from Nuno Espirito Santo, and with there already being a significant amount of pressure on his shoulders, you have to question what the future holds for him as manager.
