According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Patrick Cutrone is set to cut his loan spell with Fiorentina short in the January transfer window.

The on-loan Wolverhampton Wanderers forward will not be returning to Molineux, though, because instead, it appears as if he still has some interest from Italy with Bologna and Parma both going after him.

Cutrone clearly hasn’t settled into life with Fiorentina quite as well as he would’ve hoped, with some wondering whether or not he could be given another chance to shine with Wolves now that Raul Jimenez is out injured with a fractured skull.

Wolves instead seem to be putting their focus on the continued development of youngster Fabio Silva which, based on recent evidence, seems like a good idea. Cutrone definitely has potential but he is severely lacking confidence and regardless of where he ends up, he needs to be in a side that is going to produce for him.
