Fulham loan signing Olivier Dacourt has admitted to a major disappointment with the way his time with Inter Milan has come to an end. The 34-year-old France international had not featured since mid-October for the Italian champions.

“I worked really hard during training and Mourinho’s training methods are excellent,” he told. “It’s a shame he never gave me a chance to play, even though I was told I would get one. I always gave 100 per cent, but I was never taken into consideration for the first team. I never argued with Mourinho, but evidently we had different ideas. That’s the way things go. I would probably have had more chances under Roberto Mancini, because he knew me very well.”
