Kenny Dalglish said Liverpool have not yet seen the best of striker Andy Carroll.
The Liverpool manager said Carroll, who moved to Merseyside from Newcastle United for 35 million pounds 12 months ago, said there was still plenty for Carroll to learn.
But Dalglish also admitted Carroll played a key role in the 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win over rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday.
“Andy Carroll is good in the air, we have to develop that,” Dalglish said.
“He’s got to develop that and he has to work within the framework as well and we’ll work with him.”
“We’ll be a lot more patient with him than many other people. We’ll work with him and I’m sure we’ll get the rewards in the end- we’re starting to bear fruit now.”
