Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish said he wants his team to forget about their drab draw with Stoke City ahead of a clash against Bolton.
Dalglish’s men played out a scoreless draw at home to Stoke, and slipped to seventh on the English Premier League table.
They travel to Reebok Stadium on Saturday, and Dalglish believes his team will disregard their lacklustre draw against Stoke.
“We’re not going to dwell on the Stoke game. It’s the same as every other game,” Dalglish said on Thursday.
“There are certain aspects you take from it that you think aren’t too bad and the bad ones are the ones you try and improve on. The others you try develop. We do the same after every game.”
“After Manchester City, when we won 1-0 (in the Carling Cup), we didn’t face as many questions about the performance – it was a fantastic result.”
“As long as we have it in perspective then we’re OK. We know what we have to do is to improve.”
The Scot also confirmed Liverpool’s interest in teenage Sporting Lisbon’s Joao Carlos Teixeira.
The 19-year-old Portuguese midfielder is yet to play for the Liga Sagres club’s first team, but has been linked with a one-million pound move to Anfield.
“There might be something about that (signing), but I wasn’t thinking he would be first team,” Dalglish said.
“If we have something to say we will tell you, but yes, I think something is developing on that. He wouldn’t be fist team. He’s only a kid.”
