Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish claims he is unaware of any discussions about a permanent switch for Joe Cole to Lille.
Cole left Liverpool for a loan stint at the Ligue 1 champions at the start of the season, and has excelled in the French top flight thus far.
Lille’s president, Michel Seydoux, had suggested on Tuesday that they were keen on extending the England midfielder’s stay, but Dalglish says he has heard nothing about a possible deal.
“He (Seydoux) has never spoken to me. I don’t know anything about it,” Dalglish told reporters.
“I know they won 2-0 (against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League) and the lad hit the post and is playing well – but he’s been playing well most of the time.”
“It is great for Joe he is doing so well but beyond that I don’t know of anything that has happened.”
Cole has racked up three goals and four assists during his 16 games for Lille this term.
When asked about his future at Lille, the 30-year-old recently told France Football: “If I’m still happy here, I’ll stay.”
