Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Southampton striker Daniel Osvaldo could join Boca Juniors this winter.
The former Italy international has no future at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after clashing with Roberto Mancini and Mauro Icardi, but he was denied a chance to join Juventus on loan on transfer deadline day in Italy.
With transfer windows in Portugal, Russia and Switzerland still open, Osvaldo could quit the Nerazzurri this winter, but a move to Boca Juniors is reportedly a more realistic possibility.
Namely, Osvaldo is a big fan of La Xeneize and he is believed to be ready to return to Argentina if the La Bombonera outfit comes calling.
Boca Juniors chiefs recently confirmed their interest in the controversial forward, but it remains to be seen whether they can persuade Inter to rescind the loan deal.
Osvaldo has done fairly well at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, having netted five times in as many Serie A starts, but it is clear he is no longer in the first team plans of Roberto Mancini.
