Southampton striker Daniel Osvaldo has made it clear that he would prefer to remain at Inter Milan beyond the current season.
The Italy international was loaned to the Nerazzurri this summer following an unsuccessful spell at St Mary’s and he has enjoyed a great start to his career at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Osvaldo went on to score four league goals in five appearances and he has vowed to turn his loan deal into permanent move.
“The club is important and there is also an important project,” Osvaldo told Sky Sport Italia.
“My wish is to remain here. It is a united group. I’d like to stay in the same team for more than two years.”
Italian side Atalanta was Osvaldo’s first European club after leaving Huracan, while he also represented Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna before moving to Espanyol in 2010.
The highly rated forward earned a lucrative move to AS Roma following two successful campaigns in Spanish La Liga, while he also spent some time on loan at Juventus as a Southampton player.
Inter Milan is, therefore, his seventh Italian club and no wonder Osvaldo hopes his long-term future lies at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
