Daniel Alves could return to Barcelona, according to UOL. It has been reported by the Brazilian news outlet that Alves will hold talks with Barcelona over a potential move to Camp Nou in the January transfer window.
Alves was on the books of Barcelona from 2008 until 2016. During that period, the Brazil international was widely considered as the best right-back in the world. The 38-year-old won the La Liga title six times and the Champions League on three occasions with Barca during that period.
Barcelona recently appointed Xavi as their new manager. Alves and Xavi were teammates at Barca. Since leaving Barcelona, Alves has played for Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo. The Brazilian is now a free agent.
