Daniel Johnson 13/5 to score anytime against Reading in Saturday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Daniel Johnson to score anytime

Odds: 13/5 @ Bet 365

Handed the chance to climb to the top of the Championship after returning from the international break, Preston will make the trip to a struggling Reading on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, after shocking many and appointing former sporting director Mark Bowen to fill the empty managerial spot earlier in the week, the 55-year-old has a real job on his hands. Suffering a 1-0 loss against Bristol City prior to the international break, the Royals have failed to win any of their last seven appearances, losing six of those contests. Now slumping into the drop zone heading into the weekend, fans around the Madejski will be growing more concerned by their form on home soil. Reading have lost their last three matches in front of their own fans, including a 4-1 hammering against Fulham earlier in the month.

As for the visitors, picking up a very impressive 5-1 win away at Barnsley prior to the break, Alex Neil’s side have now been handed the chance to finish the weekend on top spot. Arguably the surprise package in the Championship so far this season, Preston are enjoying an eight-match unbeaten run in England’s second-tier. One man who has continued to shine this season is leading marksman, Daniel Johnson. Bagging a brace against Barnsley last time out, the 27-year-old also has three in his last three and should be confident of extending that tally this weekend.
