The Daily Mirror has moved to suggest that Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge may not have a long-term future at Anfield.
Manager Jurgen Klopp wants the forward to prove his fitness after recovering from injury as he is not convinced that the England international deserves to be a part of the squad.
This is why the boss will wait until the end of the season before making a decision on whether to offer Sturridge a new long-term deal.
That may be a problem considering that the striker has less than two years left on his current contract, meaning there is a chance the 28-year-old could be sold this term.
Due to his well documented injury problems, Sturridge only managed 46 Premier League appearances in last three years, scoring 15 goals in the process.
