Portuguese giants Benfica have a deal in place to sign Sporting Braga midfielder Danilo Barbosa, A Bola understands.
The 20-year-old footballer returned to Portugal as Valencia opted against turning his loan spell into permanent move, but he will soon be on the move again.
Namely, Benfica have agreed a season-long loan with an option to buy for €15 million, and the player has already undergone medical tests in Lisbon.
After making 19 appearances in his maiden La Liga campaign, Barbosa is expected to continue with impressive performances at Estadio da Luz, and he could very well be a replacement for Serbian midfielder Ljubomir Fejsa, who is believed to be a target for Fiorentina.
Prior to joining Valencia on loan, the Brazilian had been linked with quite a few top European sides, but their interest appears to have cooled off, allowing Benfica to win the chase for the midfielder’s signature.
