(GSM) – Danish defender Michael Lumb is set to join Dutch side Feyenoord on loan from Russian outfit Zenit St. Petersburg.
Lumb, Danish talent of the year in 2008, joined Zenit earlier this year but made only two appearances for the former UEFA Cup champions so far.
At Feyenoord, the 22-year-old will replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the left-back position after the latter retired from football following the World Cup in South Africa.
Feyenoord manager Mario Been was happy with the new signing: “Michael is a strong guy. I am glad that he came to Feyenoord. His arrival is a great thing.”
