Daily Mirror is reporting that Tottenham are eyeing a move for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.
Spurs are eager to sign a high-profile striker in the summer transfer window and they have been linked with Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.
However, with the Belgian eager to play Champions League football next term, Tottenham have switched their attention to Danny Welbeck.
According to Daily Mirror, the White Hart Lane outfit are prepared to offer around £20 million for the England international.
Manchester United boss David Moyes is set to shake up his attacking options in the summer and he could decide to cash in on Welbeck.
The 23-year-old has been showing signs of promise this season, scoring 9 goals in 21 Premier League appearances, while netting once in five Champions League matches.
Manchester United find themselves six points behind sixth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, but with two games in hand, with the Red Devils 5/6 for a top 6 finish.
