Ligue 1 high flyers Nice are in advanced talks for Brazilian centre-back Dante, Le 10 Sport has suggested.
The 32-year-old is no longer considered an important member of the squad at Volkswagen Arena and chances are he will be allowed to leave in the summer transfer window.
And while the defender also has interesting offers from Italy, Ligue 1 side Nice have emerged as serious contenders for his signature.
His former coach Lucien Favre has personally called Dante to try and persuade him to move to Stade Allianz Riviera, and the player appears tempted by the prospect of joining les Aiglons.
The problem is that the centre-back’s €2.5 million yearly wage is a bit outside of club’s price range, but the arrival of Chinese investors could help Nice bring the Brazilian to Cote d’Azur.
Dante has spent last seven and a half years in German Bundesliga, making 200 league outings for Borussia M’gladbach, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.
