Premium Sport has learned that former Croatia star Darijo Srna is set to join Serie A outfit Cagliari.
The 36-year-old missed the second part of last season through a drug ban and he won’t be eligible for selection until 23rd August.
However, latest reports from Italy suggest that he is on the verge of agreeing a one-year deal with Serie A strugglers Cagliari.
Srna would join Isolani on a free transfer and thus end a very successful spell with Shakhtar Donetsk that saw him lift 10 league trophies.
The veteran full-back had long resisted temptation to leave the Pitmen for greener pastures, but he is now searching for a new challenge.
