Dario Cvitanich on Roma radar

Tuttosport is reporting that AS Roma are weighing up a summer bid for Nice forward Dario Cvitanich.

The Giallorossi have been very active in the summer transfer window, having recruited Seydou Keita, Ashley Cole, Salih Ucan, Urby Emanuelson and Juan Manuel Iturbe, but summer recruitment is not over yet.

According to Tuttosport, Roma plan to try and sign Dario Cvitanich from Nice, with the Argentine set to battle Mattia Destro for a starting berth.

The Giallorossi have been keeping close tabs on the 30-year-old for a while, and with his contract set to expire in a year’s time, they have decided to act.

Meanwhile, they seem to have managed to persuade key defender Mehdi Benatia to remain at Stadio Olimpico, while still attempting to sign centre-back Marko Basa from Lille.

The club are determined to prepare in the best possible way for their Champions League campaign as well as another assault on the Serie A trophy.
