Darmian linked with Milan return

Torino full-back Matteo Darmian is being linked with a move back to San Siro, Tuttosport has suggested.

The Granata hope to sign Atletico Madrid’s Alessio Cerci on a season-long loan in the summer, but they first need to persuade AC Milan to cut the player’s current loan deal short.

And the Rossoneri plan to take advantage of the situation and attempt to secure a loan deal for Torino full-back Matteo Darmian.

One of Italy’s most sought-after footballers had begun his career at San Siro, but left the club for Padova after making just four league appearances.

He has since kick-started his career at Torino and developed into a regular starter for Italy, with Europe’s top sides casting admiring glances his way.

Granata will be in action later today when they host Chievo and they can be backed at 3/4 to claim maximum points and keep their slim European hopes alive.
